Welcome

Our guesthouse is located in the heart of Grímsey island right above the harbor. The house is on three floor levels, the guesthouse occupying the top two and the ground floor housing our handicraft gallery and café.
We have 6 bedrooms with made-up-beds with high-quality sheets and linen, two pillows per guest, a towel and a wash cloth. There is a shared kitchen, living room and a bathroom for our guests.
We have free WiFi and a crib for babies under 2 years old is available, free of charge.

Our little island is amazing and full of secrets waiting to be discovered by you.

ARCTIC CIRCLE

The arctic circle runs through our island and you can walk directly over it.

SWIMMING-POOL

The local swimming pool is open on Mon-Wed from 20:00 to 21:30 and on Saturdays from 14:00 to 16:00.

SHOP

AND CAFÉ

We have a café on our ground floor as well as a gallery with local handicraft.

TRAILS

There are a few hiking trails along the island.

BIRD WATCHING

Grímsey is known for it’s puffins and thousands of puffins habitate the island.

All year round there are dozens of bird species all around the island and they are extremely accessible for photoshooting.

Summer solstice

Summer solstice is on June 21st when the day is as long as it gets and the sun doesn't set. The sun goes down towards the horizon and starts going up again at around 1 AM.
